关于速度 — 那些shredders
英国一位网友Willjay做个了关于给速弹大师们的交替拨弦测速的Project, 选取了超过50位被认为弹得最快的吉他手
测速单位是: NPS (note per second) 每秒的音符数 (注: 16 nps = 我们常说的速度 240)
他把得到的结果中速度差不多的人分了组, 但并不意味那些人的picking skills就差不多, 因为采样中每个人弹奏音符的精准程度和所弹东西的难度都不一样(或者其他原因), 所以他都注上自己的短评…此外这位大哥还把用”Spasmic Arm Vibration” picking的选手单独列了出来, 比如Rusty Cooley在两个名单里都有, 因为在超过一定速度之后Rusty就改变了拨弦方法(from controlled picking, to arm vibration picking)
翻译注: 看来他还是挺注意细节并尽量客观的, 关于这个Project的采样问题, 据说他是剪切了每个人弹奏最快的一段(交替拨弦)其中的1秒, 然后慢放再数音符个数, 方法不是很精确 — 因为毕竟这个”最快的采样”很难确定, 但是这位网友本身也是速弹爱好者, 而且做了不少相当准确的Shawn Lane的谱子, 所以这个Project还是有一定参考价值

– Danny Joe Carter – 17 nps (在这个速度下并不是每个音符都非常清晰并协调)
– Todd Duane – 16.5 – 17 nps (非常准确)
– Marcus Paus – 16 -17 nps (不很精确, tremelo picking)
– Rusty Cooley – 16 nps
– John McLaughlin – 16 nps (非常精确….而且是在木琴上!!!!!)
– Michael Angelo Batio – 16 nps (非常精确)
– Joel Rivard – 16 nps (非常精确)
– Tony Macalpine – 16 nps (非常精确)

下面是一些用`Spasmic Arm Vibration” picking的吉他手的测试结果 (翻译注:5个里面3个都不认识, 除了Rusty和内个Francesco, 而且前面几位的测试结果都太夸张了, 没听过录音, 所以在这不表态… )
– Odracir (来自Michael Angelo论坛) – 27 – 28 nps (在一个音符上Spasmic arm vibration picking)
– Shredmikael (来自John Petrucci 论坛) – 20 nps (Spasmic arm vibration “tremelo” picking; 16岁)
– Tiago Della Vega – 18 – 20 nps (用spasmic arm vibration picking弹到这个速度, 但是左右手从来不协调, 经常左手手指弹出的音符比右手拨的多)
– Francesco Fareri – 18 nps (…在一根弦上的arm vibration picking, 而且非常不精确, 不协调…)
– Rusty Cooley – 16.5 – 17 nps (在这个速度时候使用vibrating arm picking, 但是也失去了些精确性)
