IMAGES AND WORDS是DREAM THEATER的成名作，8首作品大家都比较熟悉了，很早以前就想做一篇译文，但一直苦于没有时间，上周末我我完成8首歌的翻译，再加上刚才改了一下，
算是已经成形了。这次翻译的比较有我个人色彩，很多地方为了通顺+了一些原文没有的词汇，但是这都是建立在能更好的表达作品内涵为目的的。
毕竟本人水平有限，希望大家多提意见。

多经典的作品，这是我第一首喜欢上的DREAM THEATER的歌，充满朝气的歌词，充满朝气的旋律，总之，每当LEARNING TO LIVE的旋律响起时，我就会感动自己有十足的生命力。

等待着她用那光芒围绕着我
非常轻快的作品，没有过多的重节奏，但仍能让我感觉到流畅，编曲很容易让大家接受和理解，但又很是耐听，值得回味。歌曲的意境仍然是没的说，KEVIN MOORE的歌词写到
“她”用自己的舞步和光芒，让“他”从从前的黑暗里逐渐走出来，让他重新获得新生。而那个“她”有代表什么呢？自信？爱？。。无关紧要 因人而异了。

据KEVIN MOORE说，这首讲的是他一位女性朋友思想上的问题，她在回忆和现实中游走，挣扎。。

又是一首DT国歌版的作品，无人不知无人不晓。但是PULL ME UNDER的歌词翻译起来并不简单。其实，歌词中好多内容选自《哈姆雷特》，比如Watch the sparrow falling，
，Gives new meaning to it all，If not today nor yet tomorrow then some other day这段是哈姆雷特自己的独白，还有I Take Seven lives For one..这段讲的是
在哈姆雷特手刃叔父之前，哈姆雷特的父亲死之后，陆续死去的7个人（大臣，奥菲莉娅，罗克，葛夫，赖尔蒂斯，王后，国王）。还有All that I feel is honor and spite，
All I can do is set it right这两句因该是讲哈姆雷特见到父王的鬼魂时的话（The time is out of ioynt: Oh cursed spight, that euer I was borne to set it right）
还有当哈姆雷特还不知道父王是被叔父杀死时，叔父问他：“你脸上带着愁云”。哈姆雷特回答：”Not so my Lord, I am too much i’th’ Sun”.
但是，我也并不能因此就说这首歌就是描写哈姆雷特的故事的，通过MV，这首歌的主要想表达的地方就是时间飞逝和垂死的人对死亡的态度的。

怎么都是经典呢？？呵呵 怪不得IAW这张专辑叫做前卫金属的圣经呢！此作品就是99年SFAM的前编，也许，在IAW时代，DT并没有想把这首歌的后续写成那样的一个故事。

这首的翻译中我增加和裁剪了不少词，但因该没有影响到意思。还是那两个字————经典~ SOLO好听，词写得好，中间的（萨克斯？）用的好，总之听第一耳就想抄起吉他

这首的SOLO也是没的说，被滚石杂志评为历史100大SOLO~歌词主要讲的是一个垂死的人在弥留之际的一些幻象吧。

赶着翻译的一首，还是经典，歌词比较易懂，但总觉得翻译的差点什么。
