MI has announced that the winner of the 2012 Guitar it Up for Girls Scholarship is Liangliang Lu of Qingdao Shi, Shandong, China. “I don’t have the extravagant hope to be a huge guitar hero or rock star. I want to be a working professional sideman, especially for singers,” said Liangliang, who excels at a variety of musical styles. “I know that I want to play music everyday in my life, and to be a better musician no matter what!”
